Common Name kowhai, kowhaii
Kowhaii (refer to Sophora in this product list for the varieties) are New Zealand native trees known for their yellow flowers that are attractive to the Tui.
Be aware that the leaves can get eaten by the Kowhaii moth so it is a good idea to keep an eye on the plant and if you see leaves disappearing thats a sure sign the moth is in attendance so get an insecticide spray from your Garden Centre and apply as per instructions on the label.
Sophora tetrapetra, Sophora longicaranata, Sophora microphylla, Sophora Dragons Gold and Sophora Tui are varieties we stock
